History of NVCF

Our founder, Bishop George McCree received his clarion call to the ministry as a teenager at Faith Tabernacle Church in Portland, OR.  At the age of seven, he was water baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus and then at the age of twelve he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Bishop George attributes his spiritual tutelage to (his father and mother in the gospel), the late Bishop Louis Osborne Sr. and Bishop Grace Osborne of Portland, OR, and pastors Bishop Louis Osborne Jr. of Houston, TX and Bishop David Eddings of Phoenix, AZ. In 1986, Minister George was ordained as an Elder and worked in that assembly and the Fellowship of Christian Believers, International organization (FCB) in the areas of youth, music and education. In 2013, Pastor George was consecrated to the bishopric in that organization. Bishop George currently serves FCB as its General Secretary, conference coordinator and youth auxiliary director. In August 2019, Bishop George celebrated his 50th year New Birth-day!

In 2003 while recovering from open heart surgery, Elder McCree yielded to the call to pastor the flock of the Lord Jesus and on September 28, 2003; New Vision Christian Fellowship opened its doors in the city of Gilbert, AZ, founded with Lady Robyn, his siblings and their families.  Worship services began at Freestone Recreation Center on Sundays and weekly bible studies in the home of our pastor and wife.  In 2007, NVCF changed locations to sharing the chapel at the Community Church of New Thought; pastored by Dr Blaine Mays.  In 2014, we relocated to our present facility alongside Pastor Bill Abbott and the Mesa East Foursquare Church. Since the church’s inception in 2003, many souls have been won to Christ through confession, repentance and the new birth.  We’ve seen the hearts of many transformed by the teaching of the Word of God and miracles of healing and deliverance demonstrated within these four walls.  New Vision is a sanctifying house of worship, blessed and growing one soul at a time!  Our motto is: “It’s all about JESUS!”  We endeavor to see lost souls won to Christ and the character of men and women transformed for Kingdom living.
